The Portico is an intimate dining experience presented by Chef Kevin Shinn.  It was born out of the Pandemic of 2020, when the world was shutting down due to the COVID-19 virus, closing all outlets of hospitality, while leaving people clamoring for an avenue for gathering and celebration. Kevin began to meet this need by serving dinners for small groups in his backyard patio now known as The Portico.

2023 will begin the fourth season of The Portico Experience with three new opportunities.

The Chef’s Table 
$125 per person 
An intimate, 5 course dinner for 4 at Chef Kevin’s hightop kitchen table. Includes wine and cocktails.
Portico Presents Emerging Chefs
$50 per person
Chef Kevin is mentoring 3 apprentices this year and each of them will present the menu of their culinary point of view. Dinners are Sunday nights in January and February.

Each of these opportunities are for diners who are open to new culinary experiences and trust the chef to present an outstanding and memorable visit. Guests do not order from a list of options. The same menu will be served for the entire group. 

The menu is based on the dietary requirements of the guest. Everyone will be served under the same restrictions. If one person is vegetarian, the whole menu will be vegetarian that evening.
